Program Schedule of Personal Trainer Course

Course Name:

Personal Trainer

Course main Objective:

Provide the trainer with the core knowledge to enable him or her to be a qualified Personal Trainer.

Eligible to register

  1. You can register for the course if you have certified Fitness Instructor course
  2. The age of the applicant must be more than 18 years

 

Course detailed objectives:

By the end of this course the student will be able to:

  4. Maximal oxygen uptakeVO2 max

  6. Endocrine System
  7. Nutrition and supplements
  8. Systems for the development of metabolism and energy production.

  10. Psychosocial aspects of health & fitness
  11. Health & fitness assessment
  12.  Endurance training
  13. Strength-training principles
  14. Speed and motor skills training
  15. Training the core muscles
  16. Plyometric training
  17. Flexibility training 
  18. Coordination skills training
  19. How to design training programs.
  20. Training Adaptation and Exercise Planning and Programming.
  21. Business Marketing Strategies for Personal Trainer.
  22. The ethics and principles of the personal trainer profession
  23. Development of health-related fitness components
  24. New technological tools that can be used in personal training
  25. Communication with the client and marketing skills of the personal trainer

Course Duration:

The duration of the course will be six months, which included 396 hours, it includes Three main sections:

  1. Classroom or Face to Face Study (116 H)
  2. online study (200 H)
  3. Internship (80 H)

 

1/ Section one (Classroom or Face to Face Study)

This section is divided into four parts, between each part and another part approximately 4-6 weeks. It includes 116h of 14 classroom training days and these days are divided into four parts described as follows:

1st Part:

It includes 4 days: 32h between theoretical and practical Training

Each day consists of 8h: 4 sessions of 1h30 and 30mn break in between.

2nd Part:

It includes 4 days: 32h between theoretical and practical Training

Each day consists of 8h: 4 sessions of 1h30 and 30mn break in between.

3rd Part:

It includes 4 days: 32h between theoretical and practical Training

Each day consists of 8h: 4 sessions of 1h30 and 30mn break in between.

4th Part:

It includes 2 days: Total of hours is 20

*The first day includes 10h to discuss students’ reports publicly in front of the rest of the students. Each student has 15mn to present his case study report.

*The second day includes 10h of Practical assessment (30mn for each student).

2/ Section Two (online study (200H)

The days that are between the classroom days, and the study includes 200 hours, as follows:

  1. Self-study
  2. Live’ webinars (Workshops)
  3. QIZ tests
  4. Final theory test
  5. Study Case Report

3/ Section Three Internship (80 H)

The student performs 80 practical hours as a trainee (Internship) in one of the gyms.

It is supervised by a supervisor in the gym, in addition to the visits scheduled by the institute.

The exams

All students must successfully complete of theoretical and practical exams and assessments to get a professional personal trainer certificate, as follows:

  1. Quiz tests.
  2. Theoretical final exam.
  3. Study Case Report (Written Work, Presentations)
  4. Internship (Supervised).
  5. Practical final exam.

Quiz tests.

The student must pass several Quiz testes before moving on to the final exam, as follows:

1. Quiz test for each chapter of the theoretical book.

2. 10 questions Multichoice.

3. One minute for each question.

4. The passing score for the Quiz is 80%.

5. Quiz can be repeated for an unlimited number.

6. You cannot do the final theory exam unless you have successfully completed all the Quiz test.

Theoretical final exam

1. The student is allowed to do the final exam after successfully passing all the Quiz testes.

2. The passing score is 70%.

3. The final exam includes 50 questions Multichoice.

4. The duration of the test is 50 minutes from the start of the test.

5. Each student can do the exam tow times as a maximum to succeed.

6. Who did not pass, can request an additional exam for an additional amount of 50 US dollars for each additional attempt.

7. It is not possible to move to the final practical exam unless you complete the final theoretical exam.

Study Case Report

Prepare a report about a specific case study or any subject related to Fitness (prepared from Elite Coach Institute). This report will be discussed and presented within 15mn during the section fourth of the program. Passing grade is 80%.

Internship

Practical internship in Gym supervised under Elite Coach Institute and in cooperation with the administration of the gym.

A final report written from the administration of gym about the performance of the student and his qualification as a personal trainer and consulted with the tutor of the course. 

Passing grade is 80%

 

Practical final exam

Preparing a practical training program on one of the cases that will be given to the student on the last day of the course.

The final practical test is carried out for 45 minutes for each student directly in the gym with help of a colleague to represent the model to perform the exercises and the training program. Students are divided into two groups, each group in supervision of one of the instructors.

The final practical exam cannot be taken until after completing all the above course requirements. Passing grade is 80%.

Final practical exam

Final Practical Exam for the Course

The exam date will be scheduled in coordination with the course instructor and supervisor to perform the test directly in the fitness gym.  A colleague will be enlisted to simulate the role of a client or model for performing the exercises and training program. The exam duration will be 45 minutes (the final practical exam cannot be taken until all prerequisites of the previous course have been completed).

Several training scenarios are included in this exam. However, you will be presented with a randomly selected training scenario, which will be the one executed in the final practical exam.
